Gathering to eat, share and support.

Warrior Tradition

Warriors have gathered around campfires, sharing meals together, since the beginning of human history

Meaningful human connection is an essential ingredient for individual health as well as building a healthy society.

Warriors Breaking Bread is a grassroots effort to relight the campfires that once connected us.

Dinner Gatherings

Family-style dinners for military active-duty, veterans, and first responders

We are creating welcoming spaces where we share a meal, memorialize those we have lost and process the ups and downs of life as a community.

Wake for Warriors

Leaving the Sidelines

“Americans are right that the bonds in our communities have withered, and we are right to fear that this transformation has very real costs ... the challenge for us is not to grieve over social change but to guide it.”

— Robert D. Putnam, Bowling Alone

Dedicated to support

We are dedicated to supporting those who are struggling through difficult times in life.  We convene each month to honor, mourn, and meaningfully connect through shared experiences.

Championing an activity

We are championing an activity for active and veteran service members by facilitating monthly dinner gatherings meant to create safe, consistent, and trustworthy spaces to meaningfully connect with others in the community.

Connect with others

What people are saying.

“The Dinner Gatherings are awesome! Each dinner I have attended has been extremely beneficial to me mentally and spiritually.”

“They provide a rare opportunity for people like me to meet with other combat veterans and talk about the most difficult of our experiences.”

“I feel I have already made several new friends and significantly strengthened what I consider to be my support group.”

“Going to that dinner was honestly one of the lifesaving things that day for me.”
